The sloping landscape at the northern edge of San Diego Bay was
once home to the many Italian families who derived a living from
the highly successful tuna fishing industry most of the last
century. Its lovely vistas now grace an urban neighborhood with
a mixture of for-sale and rental properties, including
single-family homes, condominiums and multi-family buildings.
The re-built India Street is
alive with restaurants, small cafes, galleries and shops. Amici
Park is a joint school playground/community park adjacent to the
rebuilt Washington Elementary School.
